1. JET OES-80CS Oscillating Edge Sander
Specification
Power | 1-½ HP |
Speed | 3900 FPM (Feet Per Minute) |
Belt Size | 6” x 89” |
The JET OES-80CS is a large floor-standing workshop edge sander with a wide range of features.
The long 89” belt allows for the sanding of large pieces, and the 90° tilting belt means you can sand horizontally, vertically, and everywhere in between for accurate bevel edges.
Having an oscillating belt (the belt moves up and down as it turns) increases the area in contact with the wood. This removes sanding marks, reduces heat build-up, and increases belt life.
The large height-adjustable table also helps to use different areas of the belt, as well as positioning it for more comfortable operation.
An extra table section around the end of the belt is included so you can sand contours on the 4-¼” drum.
A lever tension release makes belt changing a quick and simple task.
This is a large and pricey edge sander and is best for professionals and frequent users sanding mainly larger pieces of wood.
WHAT WE LIKE
The JET OES-80CS is a solid and powerful professional-level edge sander. With an 89” long belt and large table, it is ideal for smooth edges and bevels on large pieces like shelves and doors.
